Welcome to the Council of Bristol Mosques Website
As a voluntary organisation, we do more than simply aid the development of Mosques in the City of Bristol area.
Alternatively, if you are a member of the Muslim community and wish to communicate to take up your religious and cultural concerns to those in positions of responsibility and authority, we will work with you to make your voice heard.
1. Consultation: working with the Muslim community to ensure its voice is heard
2. Interfaith relations: working alongside and respecting different faiths to maintain a harmonious yet diverse community
3. Advice and support: providing advice and support to the Muslim community on religious, cultural and social aspects of daily living
4. Representation: acting as a communications channel between the wider community and the Muslim community of Bristol
CBM is a representative body for common causes of Muslims in Bristol in all issues effecting Muslims with external bodies such as the Local Council, Police, National Health service and all other such bodies.
CBM currently consists of the five oldest Bristol Masjids, who have united to bridge the differences between cultures and schools of thought for the common goal of Uniting the Ummah (Muslim community).
CBM aim to make Masjid's 'Centres of Excellence' by providing each other with support and advice on good practices and thus ensuring that standards are raised for all concerned.
